Work has begun on our Content Drive tool, which will make organizing, finding, managing all the content and files in the back end of dotCMS much easier.

An early version is available in our current release 25.09.25. You can check it out in the dotCMS demo environment.

To enable it, just navigate to Roles & Tools under settings, select a role you wish to add the tool to, go to the Tools tab, and add the Content Drive to the Tool Group you wish to access it from.

There is still a lot to do for Content Drive, but we would love to hear your feedback as we work on this major change to the back end!

Really excited to see the new Content Drive taking shape! As the product designer, I’ve been working closely with the product team at dotCMS to make the experience more intuitive through a structure that makes organizing content much easier. I especially like how the layout creates a clear separation of files and folders, lowering the learning curve. The attached mockups show the direction we’re heading. Looking forward to your feedback as we refine it further!
