Announcing the Content Style Editor - let content teams adjust style properties without the need for developers

One of the challenges front end developers face is the constant need to make small changes to content style properties to fit specific style guides across the website or app. Sometimes the image needs to be on the left, or right, sometimes the background color needs to be red, or green, and on and on.

Teams have bent over backwards to mitigate this back and forth by either building these style properties options into the content model - adding layout choices and color choices to the content types, or by building separate containers with specific CSS for each variation needed. Both of these methods work, but make for complex content management processes and hard to maintain front end code as the site grows.

The Content Style Editor is a new feature from dotCMS that allows development teams to set up controls for style properties that content teams can use right in the Universal Visual Editor. Once configured, content authors use simple tools like radio buttons, dropdown menus, selection menus to adjust the style properties of content on the page. All while staying within the guardrails design and development have agreed on.

The Content Style Editor is available for Evergreen customers running headless applications with our SDK, and will soon be available for natively rendered apps as well. Get up and running quickly with our documentation here!https://youtu.be/Qaka4SuRV20?si=Cq9ffLThEfkNmwHP
